Poconos Real Estate

I am so excited about June.   As I was driving  through White Haven yesterday, it was thrilling to see all of the cars toting bicycles and heading to the Lehigh Gorge for a fun day of riding.  It's about 25 miles from the town of White Haven to Jim Thorpe, but the first time I did it, it felt like 100!  The ride of about 10 miles to Rockport is easy and there is a little trail off to the right that takes you to a beautiful waterfall.  Then it's about 15 miles to Jim Thorpe.  It's a slight grade...

Get ready for June in the Poconos.  If you are thinking of hiking, biking, fishing, boating, going to a waterpark or a NASCAR Race- the Mountains are where you want to be.  I am happy to say that I have done all of these things and taken full advantage of the wonderful place God’s given me to live in!  One of the big NASCAR Races is coming up on June 9th.  Thinking of the races got my mind to wandering back to my fun days at the races.  My best friend was a professional singer, Noreen Venn.  Her...

Late spring in the Poconos is a great time to explore the area and enjoy the many activities available. As well as enjoying the beauty of spring, you'll often find many of the area's attractions uncrowded.

GOLF

Golf courses are one of the first businesses to take advantage of the warmer weather. You'll find golfer's heading out onto area courses such as Pocono Manor, Split Rock and Jack Frost National. Lake Naomi Club and Pinecrest Lake have their own community golf courses as well.

You can have a flower garden, despite the deer!

One of the reasons people love the Pocono Mountains, is the thrill of seeing the wildlife - particularly the abundance of deer. Unfortunately, those beautiful deer can wreak havoc on your gardens. But, did you know that there ARE plants that the deer likely won't eat on you?

I have had success with these deer resistant plants in my garden: Iris, Bleeding Hearts, Butterly Bush, Lupines, Peonies, Poppies, Cone Flowers, Lavendar, Phlox, Butterfly and Shasta Daisies, Geraniums, and my favorite, D...

Living on the Lake - Emerald Lakes, Long Pond Pa 18334

This is exactly why people buy beautiful lakefront homes in the Poconos.  When the summers are hot and steamy in the city, the Pocono Mountains are the perfect place to escape.  We enjoy the hot summer days but then the evenings cool down with the mountain breezes. This new listing I am working with features views of the sparkling lake and a wonderful dock area to swim from or cast a line and do a little fishing.  If you owned this lakefront home, you can swim and fish and lounge just mintues fr...
