Hi! My name is Karen Olander, and I have been an active member of the Hazleton community for over 50 years.  I am excited to be turning that community focus toward real estate.

Raised on a farm in Oklahoma, I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Home Economics, focusing specifically on Fashion Merchandising.   My knowledge of merchandising landed me the position of head buyer for golf shops in Palm Springs, CA and Shawnee on the Delaware, PA., where I met my future husband. 

After moving to Hazleton, I raised three sons. During this time, I owned and operated a local gift shop and assisted a successful interior decorator in the area.  I went on to earn a master’s degree in Education from Bloomsburg University.  After retiring from teaching Home Economics in the Hazleton Area, I joined the Real Estate profession.
