Hazleton has a long history including battles in the American Revolution with the Seneca Tribe to Coal Mining from the 1850’s through the 1940’s. The coal mined in Hazleton helped to establish the United States as a world power by providing fuel for the massive furnaces at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
Today, Hazleton has become home to many industrial parks, Office Max, Simmons Bedding Company, Michaels, Network Solutions, AutoZone, General Mills, WEIR Minerals, EB Brands and Amazon.com.
