This Week in the Poconos! 3/25-3/31

As we patiently await full-time Spring weather...March is coming to a close. The saying goes, "March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb" and this March seemed to be just that. The temperatures in the Poconos are steadily rising and we see the bright sunny skies more and more each day. 

Here's what's happening this week in the Poconos!

Friday March 29

Woodcock Watch at the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center 
$6, 6:30pm-8:30pm

• Join Pocono Aviation Research Center to learn about the life, history, and the amazing courtship of these awesomely entertaining birds! There will be a brief presentation before heading out to the bog to observe. 
  
  

Live Music in the Tasting Room at Susquehanna Brewing Co., Pittston
6:30pm-8:30pm 

• Enjoy a few brews and some great tunes from talented musicians from NEPA!

Saturday March 30 

Spring Craft Fair at Wilkes-Barre Area CTC

9:00am

• Wilkes-Barre Area CTC will be holding a Spring Craft Fair. Free Admission, Door Prizes and Raffle baskets. With Over 60+ vendors showcasing jewelry, woodworking items, direct sales vendors, sewn creations, food & candy vendors, candles, apparel, handbags, wood working and other types handmade creations and so much more.

  Additionally, there will be various Food items for sell by the Culinary arts program. Face Painting by the Cosmetology class, A Kids Craft Corner, Pictures with the Easter Bunny and Jubilee Belt with Balloon animals.

  There will be something for everyone. Come out and support the Students of the WBACTC & Local Small businesses

Backyard Biomes at the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center 

$6, 10:00am-12pm

• Learn tips on making beautiful, yet productive, backyard habits that will create an oasis for wildlife to thrive! 

SPCA of Luzerne County Pet Expo at the Kingston Armory

10am-6pm

• Bring your furry friend to see all the amazing local businesses offering products or services.
• This family friendly event has something for everyone!! Amazing Food Vendors, Craft Vendors, Animal Products, Services, Home Repair Vendors, Jewelry Vendors, Animal Welfare Organizations, Adoptable Animals, Face Painting, Basket Raffles and so much more!!!

Sunday March 31

Guided Interpretive Hike at Pocono Education Center

$5, 10:00am-12pm

• Go on a hike with knowledgeable staff members of PEEC to learn more about nature! There will be lots of opportunity to as questions along the way.

10am-4pm

• Bring your furry friend to see all the amazing local businesses offering products or services.
