Marissa was born and raised in Honesdale, PA. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Business Logistics and chose to move to South Carolina for a change of scenery. It only took a few short years for her to move back to her roots.
Her love of animals (her and her husband own FOUR dogs!) steered her towards a career as a veterinary technician. For over 6 years she assisted one of the area’s top veterinary surgeons and supervised the surgical department. Moving back home as enriched her life even more thru both work and play. Here she met her husband, bought a home and looks forward to raising a family with all this area has to offer: great schools, endless outdoor activities, her family close by and a wonderful sense of community.
Hobbies: Marissa can be found kayaking on the Delaware, fishing, hiking, hunting and skiing. When the fall rolls around a short trip has her enjoying college football action at Penn State. Her husband's family farm is home to pigs, chicken and steer. Many weekends are spent tending the garden and raising the animals. In2012, her and her husband raised three pigs of their own- which they then butchered and packaged for their own freezer. A self-reliant homestead is their goal.
